Adrian Gonzalez is trusted advisor and leading industry analyst with more than 15 years of research experience in transportation management, logistics outsourcing, global trade management, social media, and other supply chain and logistics topics. He is the founder and president of Adelante SCM, a peer-to-peer learning and networking community for supply chain and logistics executives and young professionals. He is also the founder and host of Talking Logistics, a weekly online video talk show where he leads conversations with thought leaders and newsmakers in the supply chain and logistics industry.
Prior to his current roles, Adrian held various leadership positions at ARC Advisory Group, Motorola, Polaroid, and Clare. Adrian speaks frequently at industry events and conferences and is regularly quoted in industry publications. He is also a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and a LinkedIn Influencer.
Adrian has a B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University. He also earned a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management from Northeastern University, where he has served as an adjunct instructor in their Executive MBA program.
Dr. Bernhard Herzog
VP Global Supply Chain
Since late 2010, Dr. Herzog has been responsible for supply chain activities across all OXEA businesses globally after roughly four years of managing OXEA’s amines business. OXEA was formed in early 2007 when Advent International acquired the business from Celanese Corporation. The acquired businesses comprised of the Oxo Intermediates and Derivatives activities of Celanese, as well as the entire operations of European OXO GmbH, a 50-50 joint venture of Celanese and Degussa AG. Since December 2013, OXEA has been part of Oman Oil Company (OOC).
Being a chemist by degree, he started his career at Hoechst AG in R&D in 1995 before progressing at Celanese through different commercial roles of increasing responsibility: supply chain planning, sales & marketing, auditing, pricing analysis and six sigma.
Today, his main focus is on S&OP, customer service, logistics, and trade compliance.
Senior Manager Global Process Connectivity
Ralf Kahre is responsible for; 1) leading the global process connectivity and being accountable for all external facing connectivity topics for the end to end process owners in BASF, regardless of channels and tools, and 2) designing strategic connectivity processes to increase automation for BASF and its Business partners as part of the global process architecture team in BASF.
Senior Expert Business Process Optimization
Patrick Gött is the Process Owner for Non-conformance Management and Purchase-to-Pay at BASF SE Ludwigsahfen since 2013. He previously held various positions in procurement and purchase-to-pay at BASF SE. The projects he participated: as a subproject lead in M&A projects, a subproject lead in migration and standardization projects, and as owner for procurement business warehouse. He received his diploma in 2005 from Wirtschaftinformatiker Duale Hochschule Mannheim
Paul Lord is a Research Director in Gartner Supply Chain Research. His research covers supply chain practices and transformation strategies in the chemical, agricultural and petroleum processing industries. Mr. Lord advises clients on planning and inventory optimization strategies as well as distribution strategies for multimodal transportation networks.
He joined Gartner following the company’s acquisition of AMR Research. He joined AMR Research after a 25-year career in the chemical industry, which included roles in R&D, operations planning, distribution management and product-line management.
