Essential2Life 5K
Elemica is a proud sponsor and committee member for the upcoming Essential2Life 5K run. The event takes place on Saturday, April 10th at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.
This race has an important, two-fold purpose. First, it's designed to highlight the role of chemistry as "essential2life". Second, the race will benefit the American Red Cross. The event includes the 5K run, a 3K walk, a "kids sprint," a fair, raffle prizes and various educational and entertainment activities.
While the American Red Cross is widely recognized for its humanitarian role in nationally-publicized disasters, proceeds in the past have benefited the local NJ chapter of the American Red Cross. This year proceeds will benefit local chapters of the American Red Cross based on the participants' zip code. Additionally, all contributions that you choose to make toward the recent Haiti and Chile disasters will go directly to the International American Red Cross instead of benefitting any of the local chapters.
