Elemica Hosts eBusiness Workshop for Executives at 3rd Annual eChemicals Conference in Brussels

Discussions Center Around Business Process Networks, Collaboration, and Electronic Commerce

Exton, PA, Brussels, Belgium, and Frankfurt, Germany - October 14, 2008 - Elemica, the industry-leading business process network for the external supply chain, announces it will host a 3-hour workshop for business executives at the 3rd Annnual eChemicals Conference at the Hotel Le Plaza in Brussels, Belgium, October 28-30, 2008. Elemica's workshop entitled, "From eBusiness to Business with the Elemica Network - Lessons Learned from 10 Years of Leadership in eBusiness," features presentations and case studies that highlight the growth of eBusiness activities within chemical companies.

  Simon Hardy, EU Director of eSolutions at Elemica, will lead the Elemica workshop. "Chemical companies are realizing that eBusiness is the fundamental way to do business on a global basis," said Simon Hardy. "In the Elemica workshop, attendees will learn how the automation evolution over the last decade has brought to companies a vastly increased sophistication around working with partners along the supply chain. We will be sharing how this collaboration reduces costs and errors." Elemica's workshop takes place on October 28, 2008 at 14:00 - 17:30. Elemica will present, "Moving from Point-to-Point Connections to Hubs - But Also Consolidating to One Business Process Network," followed by two workshops on Business Process Networks and Exception Management. A senior executive from a major chemical company will discuss how to take your eBusiness experiences into on-going roles. Feedback from an eBusiness benchmark survey of the chemical industry and how this is shaping the industry will be highlighted, including information on how to fulfill key eBusiness goals in a cost effective manner. A Q&A session, hosted by Elemica, will close the session. The 3rd Annual eChemicals event, a preferred meeting place of industry professionals, will embrace discussions around new ways of using e-commerce, e-collaboration, new approaches to customer relationships and different e-tools and e-solutions. Case studies on latest strategies and developments, moderated discussions and plenty of networking opportunities will serve participants to update their knowledge on the e-environment in the chemical industry, and gain valuable insights from exchange with industry peers, which subsequently can be implemented and serve to optimize an e-business strategy.
