Elemica Offers Chemical Industry e-Business Benchmark Study For Peer-to-Peer Assessments & Competitive Analysis

Exton, PA - December 2, 2008 - Elemica, the industry-leading business process network for the external supply chain, announces a new Chemical Industry e-Business Benchmark Study, which provides companies within the chemical industry objective benchmark data relating to their e-business activities and how each participant in the study ranks amongst their peers. Elemica will provide the resources and tools necessary to conduct this analysis.

In January 2009, Elemica will begin collecting quantitative and qualitative data in the areas of sales, procurement, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), logistics, and invoicing, from the participants in the study. The scope of the study includes practices and metrics; global focus with regional analysis (Europe and Africa, Americas, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, including Japan); and business cases and benefits calculators. A comprehensive analysis report, expected to be available in March 2009, will outline the position of chemical companies relative to the rest of the industry - covering current e-business results, value delivery and future plans across customer-facing, logistics, invoicing and procurement functions.
