Elemica's Logistics Roadshow on Supply Chain Integration Delivers Valuable Insight into Touchless Order Fulfillment within Logistics Operations

Exton, PA - June 27, 2008 - Elemica, the industry-leading business process network for the external supply chain, recently hosted a Land Logistics Roadshow in Houston, TX focused on supply chain integration best practices. The conference was well attended by chemical industry shippers, road carriers, warehousing and logistics management professionals who gained valuable insight into the use of a business process network to streamline operations and minimize costs. Some of the companies represented at the event include ExxonMobil, LyondellBasell, BASF, DuPont, Superior Carriers, Schneider National, KinderMorgan and others.

The theme of the fully integrated supply chain as the backbone for touchless processes was consistent throughout the conference and endorsed by technology-consulting firm Bearing Point's Keynote Address. BASF and Dow demonstrated the benefit of automated supply chain execution and e-connectivity with their logistics service providers. Charles Wilson of Bulk Transporter Magazine acted as moderator of the carrier panel, dealing with the road carrier's rold in touchless order fulfillment, and several warehousing companies participated on the panel regarding automating communications with 3rd party storage facilities.
